Quotes & Booking
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. Quotations are free and come with no obligation. Describe the work, and you will be given a clear price for it before anything starts.
What information should I provide?
The more specific, the better: what the job is, which room or part of the property, rough dimensions if you have them, and anything that has already been tried. Your postcode helps too, so travel can be accounted for.
Can I send photographs first?
Yes, and it is usually the fastest way to get a useful answer. Photographs can be sent by WhatsApp or email, or attached to the quote form. For many jobs they are enough to give you a realistic idea before arranging a visit.
How quickly can you assess a job?
It depends on current workload and where you are. Get in touch with a description and you will be told when the job can be looked at — you will not be left waiting for an answer.
How do I get in touch?
By phone, WhatsApp or email, or through the quote form on this site. Use whichever suits you; the form simply makes sure nothing is missed.
02
Services
Do you take on small jobs?
Yes. Small jobs are a large part of the work — that is what 'no job too small' means. If a job is very quick, it is usually worth combining it with anything else on your list.
Can you handle several jobs during one visit?
Yes, and it is normally the most economical approach, because much of the cost of any job is setting up and clearing away. Send the full list when you request a quote.
What types of home improvements do you cover?
Painting and decorating, plastering, flooring, fencing and outdoor work, general handyman jobs, doors and joinery, kitchen fitting, window and conservatory maintenance, and exterior work. Each has its own page setting out what it includes.
Is there anything you do not do?
Gas work and notifiable electrical work are not undertaken and need a registered trade. Glazing replacement, structural alterations and anything requiring scaffolding or roof access are also specialist jobs. Where a job needs one of those, you will be told plainly so you can arrange the right person.
Do you supply materials?
It can be arranged either way. Many customers prefer to choose and buy their own paint, flooring or fittings, and that is fine. If you would rather materials were included, say so when you request a quote so they can be priced in.
03
Working in the Home
Do I need to prepare the room?
Not usually. Moving smaller and breakable items helps, but furniture can normally be moved and covered as part of the work. Mention what is in the room when you request a quote so it can be planned for.
How is mess managed?
Floors and furnishings are covered before work starts, dust is kept to the area being worked on, and the space is cleared at the end. Where work runs over more than one day, rooms are left usable wherever that is practical.
Do I need to be at home?
Not necessarily, provided access has been arranged and you are comfortable with it. Many customers are in for the start of the job and out for the rest of it. Whatever suits you can be agreed in advance.
Will you clear away waste?
Removal and disposal of old materials can be included — old flooring, fencing or a stripped-out kitchen, for example. Mention it when requesting a quote so it is priced in rather than added later.

Coverage
Which areas do you cover?
Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley form the main working area, with wider coverage in Leeds, Bradford, Halifax and Nottingham. Each town has its own page listing the districts and villages covered.
Do you work outside Doncaster?
Yes. Doncaster is the closest area and generally the quickest to reach, and Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and the villages between them are covered as a matter of course. Leeds, Bradford, Halifax and Nottingham are covered too, though being further out those visits are planned in advance and travel forms part of the quoted price.
What if I am just outside your usual area?
Ask. Coverage is not a hard boundary, and it often depends on the size of the job. Get in touch with your postcode and you will be given a straight answer.
Still Have a Question?
Call, message or send a photograph — you will get a straight answer.
